Kylie Jenner inspired make up tutorial!

Hi everyone! I’ve been stuck in a bit of a blogging rut as of late and I feel like everything I write is super boring and not me. So after a lovely holiday and time to relax I have really thought about what I need to do and how. Hopefully it works this time..
So anyway, yeah, tutorial!

DSC_0452

For my foundation I just mixed my new Giorgio Armani foundation with a darker bourjois one because believe it or not- I’m actually tanned! I also added some of the Benefit High Beam for a beautiful glow.

DSC_0453

To conceal and highlight I just used my favourite MAC pro longwear concealer in NC15 and plonked it pretty much everywhere, as you can see in the picture above..hopefully.

DSC_0454

For the rest of my face makeup I contoured with the bronzer from the urban decay flushed pallete in “native”, used the sleek rose gold blush to add a bit of colour and then a make up revolution highlighter with more gold tones in it to give me a warmer highlighted look.

DSC_0456

…like that.

DSC_0457
DSC_0459

For my eyes I started with MAC “cork” and a little bit of “patina” to start to create some shadows and definition.

DSC_0460

Next I used “faint” to darken this up and “naked 2” to blend it out more, I also put this underneath my bottom lash line to make sure my eyes didn’t look too top heavy. I then added “foxy” to my lid and lined my upper lash line and added a teeny tiny wing as Kylie doesn’t appear to wear cat eye looks.

DSC_0461

I then added some of the Benefit rollerlash mascara…

DSC_0462

before adding falsies and filling my brows in with the anastasia dip brow pomade in “dark brown”.

DSC_0463

For those classic Kylie Jenner lips I just (over)lined my lips using my favourite “mahogany” lip liner by The Body Shop and my make up revolution ‘happy lips’ lip stick in “love nude”.

DSC_0464
DSC_0466

I just finished off my spritzing my face with some fix+ et voila!

Make up, Hair and Outfit! | Graduation

Hi everyone! And no, it’s not my graduation, I’m not that smart. So anyways, this is my make up, hair and outift post from my brothers graduation yesterday..as you probably guessed by the title.

DSC_0315

As per usual, here’s my before face. I moisturised and used my MAC strobe cream all over to give me that dewy look.

DSC_0316

After applying my Illamasqua skin base with a smidgen of my bourjois foundation as I tanned a little the day before, I just went in with my MAC pro longwear concealer in NC15 to highlight because I’m not completely predictable at all.

DSC_0317

I then used a teeny tiny bit of bronzer to contour my cheekbones, a light dusting of a dark pink blush to give me some colour and then applied both Benefits high beam and my usual make up revolution powder highlight using the ‘strobing’ method.

DSC_0318

After priming my eyes with the Nars smudge proof eyeshadow primer I put “Backdoor” out of the Urban Decay Smoked palette in my outer corner and crease.

DSC_0319

I then blended that out to remove any harsh lines and added more if I felt it was necessary

DSC_0321

Next I used “Barlust” for my outer lid colour and “mushroom” as I got closer to my inner corners.

DSC_0322

I then placed “backdoor” on my lower lash line and blended that out. To finish I lined my eyes with the Avon extend felt tip liner and then used both my MAC falsh lashes extreme black mascara and then my maybelline the rocket waterproof mascara to make sure it didn’t run down my face. I also filled in my eyebrows with the anastasia dip brow pomade in “dark brown” and set them with the maybelline brow drama.

DSC_0324

I just popped on my go to lip colour and was done with my make up!

DSC_0326

For my hair I just curled it using the Babyliss diamond curls wand and tied back the front pieces of my hair so that my head didn’t look too massive!

DSC_0332

For my outfit I wore this black, long sleeved midi(?) dress from next that was on sale for £9, my new look denim jacket, a silver necklace from Matalan that was on sale for £4, a black clutch that was gifted to me, a black hat from next that was also on sale for £10 and I actually had two different pairs of black heeled boots that I switched between!

DSC_0348

You can kind of get the jist a bit in this picture! It ended up being a little too windy for the hat.

So I hope that you liked this post and got a few ideas for any up and coming events! Until next time, goodbye for now little buns!

Natural…ish make up look!

Hi everyone- again, sorry for the delay in posts, everything has been so chaotic, I feel like the days are just flying by! But I will have TWO posts up for you today and hopefully a make up, hair and outfit post up on Wednesday! Anyway, let’s crack on!

DSC_0292

Sooo here is my face (and bog eye) before touching it, take it in, like it, love it, hate it, whatever, just enjoy it (comment if you know where that’s from!!).

After putting on my usual moisturiser I applied the MAC strobe cream on where I would…willl highlight to give me the “glowing from within” thing that people are supposed to want, I don’t know.

As I primer I used the Nivea men’s post shave balm because Nikki told me to and oh my Jesus.. it’s the best discovery EVER! Your foundation will literally stick to your face and will not go anywhere.

I then used both the Illamasqua skin base and the L’oreal true match foundation in the lightest shades (surprising, I know) with a beauty blender to give me that medium-full coverage. Next I went in with my Bourjois foundation in “Dark beige” to contour and MAC pro longwear concealer in NC15 to highlight, like so…

DSC_0294

I just blended it in using my beauty blender et voila.

DSC_0295

Even though it’s a lot of product, it still looks natural (in my opinion). Also my nose is hideous from the side, but my cheekbone looks gooood, and that’s my bad one.

I just went over that with the bronzer, a peachy/pink blush and highlighter from the make up revolution blush palette in “sugar and spice”.

DSC_0296

As you can see there are still no harsh lines but it just has a bit more ‘oomph’!

DSC_0297

For my eyes I started with “drama” from the make up revolution iconic pro 1 palette and put that on my lid and the bit of my ‘eye sag’ that is hidden.

DSC_0298

I then added “afflicted” really sloppily in my ‘crease’ and what I wish was my crease.

DSC_0299

I then blended that out and upwards to create a nice gradient affect. And added more until I was satisfied. To balance it out I just added “afflicted” to my lower lash line too.

DSC_0300

This is me trying to show you the hidden bit of my eye sag, I’m very professional like that.

DSC_0301

I then used the NYC liquid eyeliner that is like a felt tip to create a thin line along my lash line to make my lashes look more voluminous and so that you know I have make up on, I want to look natural but so that you can tell I made an effort.

DSC_0302

To finish my eyes just filled my eye brows in a bit and added the Benefit they’re real! mascara on both top and bottom lashed to make my eyes look a little bigger.

DSC_0303

I added a mix of nude/pink and brown lip products to give me a “your lips but better” kind of colour!

TA DAAA

DSC_0306

Also, do you reckon I changed my hair a bit?! I was really hating my hair and close to just shaving it off and buying a wig so I went into work on Monday with a photo of a girl’s hair a liked and let Paige do what she wanted! I know that you’re definitely not reading this but if you are Paige, you are a hair God and thank you SO much.

I hope you enjoyed this post! Goodbye for now little buns!

Get Ready With Me | Beach day!

Hi Guys! With the weather (hopefully) getting warmer as the days go by, I thought I would show you my hair, make up and outfit for the beach! Little fact- I hate the beach, so if you’re like me and are trying to be really enthusiastic even though you don’t want to go, worry no further, I have you covered.

DSC_0286

I started with my usual B.Ready moisturiser which has SPF 15 in it to protect my skin from any sun damage. I also used my MAC strobe cream on my cheekbones, bridge of my nose, chin, cupids bow and the middle of my forehead. Pretty much anywhere where you would apply a highlighter.

DSC_0287

For my base I didn’t want anything too heavy so I used a little bit of my L’Oreal True Match foundation in “Rose Ivory” which also has SPF 17 for added protection. I then went in with some Revlon Colour Stay concealer to hide my (designer…I wish) bags. For a little extra coverage I used my busted MUA powder in shade 3- I think, just to give me a bit of colour!

DSC_0288

For bronzer, blusher and highlighter I used my Urban Decay Flushed palette in “Native”, it is so quick and easy and super pigmented! The bronzer is quite warm so as I contour my cheekbones I just make sure to blend it upwards so that it doesn’t look muddy and gives me that perfect sun kissed look!

DSC_0289

For my eyes I started with the Nars smudge proof eye shadow primer so that my eye shadow doesn’t disappear! I then FORGOT TO TAKE PICTURES (well done me) but used the Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro 1 palette and started with the colours “Fade” and “Must” in my crease and under my eyes. Then I popped “Luna” on my lid to brighten my eyes and used the George white eye liner in my waterline to also make me appear more awake than I actually am! To give my lashes more volume I used the NYC High Definition liquid eye liner and just made a thin line along my top lash line. Next I curled my lashes as per usual and coated them with the Benefit They’re Real mascara.

DSC_0290

I followed that with my normal brow routine but used a lot less product than usual because I didn’t want to look too ‘made up’ to go to the beach (ha, get it??).

DSC_0291

To finish my make up I used my NIvea Lip butter in caramel cream, I swear I could eat this, my Lacura lip liner (surprise, surprise) to neaten the perimeter of my lips and then my Tanya Burr lip gloss in “Picnic in the park”. Et voila!

DSC_0284

For my hair I kept it SUPER simple and just chucked it up in a bun because who wants sandy, tatty, wind swept hair? Not me.

DSC_0285

I also laughed far too much at how stripey my hair is.

For my outfit I used wore an old dress with a denim jacket because summer is not my thing and this is the only thing I own that is relatively summery. I also wore my cream high top converse and actually wore tan tights because I there is nothing that drives me more insane than sand sticking to your legs. And it meant I didn’t have to tan.

DSC_0283

And for anyone who is interested my nails are colour trend “scene” from Avon (and also very messy) with the diamond shatter top coat on my ring finger.

DSC_0282

DSC_0281

I hope you enjoyed this post and I helped you out in some way! I’m off to have a prom make up rehearsal for my cousin and her friend (wish me luck!) so I will see you on the other side! Goodbye for now little buns!

Day time spring make up look! | Collaboration with BeautifulBreakable

Hey Everyone! Today I have a pretty exciting (well, for me anyway!) collab for you guys! Along with the amazing Jess from Beautiful, Breakable I have created a spring make up look. I chose to create the day look and Jess chose to create the night look, so go over to her blog to check it out!

So, let’s begin!

DSC_0229

For my base I used my regular moisturiser from B and mixed that with my MAC strobe cream to ensure a dewy finish. I then mixed my L’oreal True Match foundation and my Illamasqua skin base together to make the perfect full coverage foundation that will stay on all day! To conceal and highlight I used my MAC pro longwear concealer in NC15.

DSC_0232

To set that all in place I used my colour correcting peals from Avon, they will also help you give you the perfect dewy finish!

DSC_0230

To give some colour to my skin and contour I used the second shade down on the right of the palette. I just popped this underneath my cheekbones, lightly down either side of my nose, along the top of my forehead, under my lip and under my jaw line. So pretty much everywhere. I also used the peach blush from this make up revolution palette to give me that healthy complexion.

DSC_0231

For my highlighter I used this gold looking baked highligher from make up revolution. I placed this on my cheekbones, chin, brow bone, cupids bow, a little on the bridge of my nose and also used it as my inner corner highlight on my eyes. It gives a beautiful sheen and is more subtle and therefore suitable for day time.

DSC_0233

To create my simple eye look I used the maybelline colour tattoo in “on and on bronze” and slightly blended that out. Then I lined my upper lash line with the Barry M ‘Blink’ waterproof eyeliner. Next I used the maybelline chromatics eye liner in “turn on the teal” for my waterline and blended that out slightly using a small detailed brush with a bit of my sleek “sahara” blush on it (not pictured…oops!). To finish I curled my lashed and used my Maybelline The Rocket waterproof eye liner. I really didn’t plan for my eyes to be nearly all maybelline but they know what they are doing on the eye-front!

DSC_0234

For my brows I used my Anastasia dip brow in “dark brown” and my Maybelline brow drama in “medium brown”.

DSC_0235

To finish the look off I just used my Tanya Burr lipgloss in “picnic in the park”. Et voila!

DSC_0227

I hope you enjoyed this post and have some ideas for your perfect spring make up, don’t forget to hop over to Jess’ blog and check out her make up look!  You can also see my dress for my birthday party in the background… and a splodge of hairspray on my glasses. Well done me. But anyway- until next time..Goodbye for now little buns!

Lunch date MOTD

Hi guys! Today I am going to be showing you my makeup of the day including my new makeup revolution iconic pro palette which is the PERFECT dupe for the smash box full exposure palette!

It has 8 matte eye shadows and 8 shimmer eye shadows and to be quite honest I am way too excited. The shadows themselves are very pigmented and easy to blend- it’s a yes from me.

Also when I say lunch date it is with a friend who is a girl so don’t get too excited.

I know you love my dressing gown. And I’m sorry that my eyebrow game is not strong today.

Let’s begin!

First I took Luna an swept it across the lid as a base for all my other shadows.

Then I took Must and blended that in the crease, up towards my brow and in my outer corner.

I then did the same using Drama but concentrated it more in my crease to fake a shadow there.

Next I used Afflicted in my outer corners and slightly through my crease to darken the look slightly.

I then popped Fade on the centre of my lid to keep it brighter than the rest but not too dramatic looking.

Instead I eye liner I used Pitch and smudged it into my lash line to create the look of thicker lashes.

As I my inner corner highlight I used the shade Ghost.

For my lower lash line I just used Drama along the whole of it and then blended Afflicted into the outer third.

After adding on some mascara I was done! Since I have had a lot of compliments from my friends on my go to lip recently I thought I would include it!

First I just used the body shop Mahogany lip liner on the perimeter of my lips.

Then I use the lacura  Frosty Lilac lip liner all over the top.

And to seal it in place I use the collection colour pout lip stain in the  dark purpley colour (the name has rubbed off!)

I also just realised that my lips got more lazy throughout those pictures… Oops!

But yeah I hope you liked this little MOTD/review/tutorial and I will see you next time! Goodbye for now little buns!

Makeup Revolution Amazing Care Lipsticks!

I left out the #happylips bit because cringe. Hi everyone! Today I’m going to be doing a little review on the Amazing Care lipstick collection by Makeup Revolution. I feel like Makeup Revolution are like MUA but better- still cheap and chearful, but with that little bit more quality and style.

There are five colours in the range so at £3 each I obviously bought them all. I mean, why not?

The formula is enriched with Argan Oil so is super hydrating and moisturising for your lips so is essential for people like me who have super chapped lips right now. Damn you cold, damn you.

lipstick

As you can see, the lipstick-y bit is in the centre and the smooth argan oil layer surrounds it. As you can also see, I need to get my nails redone. I know. The packaging is quite nice for the price but I think I prefer the boxes they came in…

Okay so, down to business- swatches.

DSC_0241

DSC_0242

In order these are, Electric Love, Love a hug, Love pink!, Love red! and Love nude! There’s a lot of love going on.
I took these in different lighting because the camera is not forgiving at all! The colours do look rather sheer but I think that is because its like when you wear a lipstick and a lip balm- the colour is never going to be SUPER intense. Well, for £3 it’s not.

I also tried each colour on because I am just that nice. Please ignore how wonky my lips are and the dry skin around my nose… So in the same order-

DSC_0244
Electric Love

DSC_0246
Love a hug

DSC_0247
Love pink!

DSC_0248
Love red!

DSC_0243
Love nude!

I personally love (see what I did there?) all of these colours and the pigmentation, they are so easy to just whack on for day to day wear. One thing I would say though is that, like a lip balm, these will just slide off. In saying that- I wore Love nude! When I was shopping today and didn’t have to reapply it until I had eaten, before that it had lasted 3 hours and still looked lovely.

So yeah, overall I am super happy with these and yes these were bought with my own money and I’m not sponsored or anything- all opinions are my own!! If you have tried them out, let me know what you think! I’m also wearing a new foundation which I have fell in love with- let me know if you would like to hear about that too! Until next time, goodbye for now little buns!
