MOTD: Pub Quiz!

Hey guys! So every week we go to the pub quiz on a Wednesday and since I’m off today I thought I would shake it up a lil bit with my make up!

So yeah here is my face and here is a list of what is on it:

B. Ready day cream
Smashbox liquid halo foundation & L’oreal True Match Foundation
Collection lasting perfection concealer
Rimmel Clear complexion face powder
Bourjois chocolate bronzer (that’s not the real name but lets be honest it should have been)
Estee Lauder “plush petal” blush
MAC mineralised skin finish in “lightscapade

Naked basics palette- ”venus” on inner corners and browbone
– ”walk of shame” on lid
– ”naked 2” and ”faint” in crease and underneath my bottom lashline
Maybelline chromatics khol eyeliner in “turquoise vibe”
Maybelline the rocket mascara
Benefit Brow zings

Bourjois rouge edition velvet lipgloss, stick, thing in “01 personne ne rouge!”

I just wanna say that the bourjois lip thing is amazing. I hardly wear it because it is so red but it feels amazing on the lips and the colour pay off is unreal. It also dries matt which is lovely!

I hope you enjoyed this little post and before I go, I am going to do a giveaway at 200 followers which I am planning well in advance so that I can buy things little by little (cause obviously I want to be able to send you loads of stuff!) and I was wondering what you guys would like to win? I have a couple ideas in mind but its obviously going to go to one of you so what would you want? It needs to be something that can be sent worldwide cause obviously I don’t want to miss anyone out!

So that’s all for today- Good bye for now little buns!

Glam eyes NYE look 2014!

Hello everyone! Today I am going to show you the make up that I will be wearing to end 2014 and start 2015! I’m not quite sure who’s party I am going to but I know I am going to one so the make up has got to be top notch.

After doing my usual skin care routine I mixed my MAC BB cream and L’oreal true match foundation, both in the lightest colour, and applied that to my face with the Real Techniques face sponge thing. I am really loving this foundation routine at the moment, it makes my face look so healthy and gives just the right amount of coverage.

Then I use my collection lasting perfection concealer to cover my under eyes and highlight my cheekbones, cupids bow, bridge of my nose and just in between my eyebrows. I blended this out with the same sponge and then went over with a teeny tiny bit of the Rimmel clear complexion face powder.

Then I used my Bourjois chocolate bronzer (surprise, surprise!) to contour, my new estee lauder blush in “plush petal” and my MAC mineralised skin finish in “lightscapade” to finish my face make up. I then did my normal eyebrow routine, which I do kinda wanna change up, before moving onto my eyes.

And because I’m an idiot I accidentally deleted all of the pictures of my make up apart from my eyes and full face, so unfortunately there are none along the way, apologies.

After applying my nars smudgeproof eyeshadow primer I grabbed my random MUA face powder and just swiped that over top to make blending easier. I also used some sellotape on the outer edge of my eye out towards my eyebrow to make it even easier.

I started with the “naked 2” shadow from the naked basics palette and used that in and above my crease. I then whipped out my smoked palette by Urban Decay and went in with “backdoor” in my crease to deepen that up a little bit. To exaggerate that even more I used “blackout” and put that in my outer corner too. I then used my L’oreal eyeshadow in “real silver” just on my eyelid and then used a clean (ish) blending brush to soften the edges. To blend that in to the outer corner I just used “mushroom” from the smoked palette as it is a dark shimmery sliver and gives such a smooth transition! I then used “venus” from the naked basics palette on the brow bone and “backdoor” again underneath the eyes and then that was it for the shadow!

After ripping off the sellotape (okay I wasn’t that violent) I used my maybelline black gel liner to create quite a thick winged liner so that I could go over the top with my collection glam eyes (see what I did there??) liner in “hustle”. I also kinda missed and coated my lashes too.

It annoys me how dull this looks. I am going out in the day time in a sparkly as hell smokey eye and my camera is like sorry nope. FIRST WORLD PROBLEMS.

Anyhoo then I added some of the maybelline rocket mascara to finish it off! I really love this mascara and because I got the waterproof one it doesn’t just decide to come off during the day (win!) however it is so difficult to take off.

Do you like?

So, moving on to the lips I took the Max Factor lipstick in “midnight mauve” around the edges of my lips and in the outer corners and then filled the rest in with the collection deluxe lipstick in “speak easy”. To top it off I used my Tanya Burr lip gloss in “Aurora” et voila!

Literally the most subtle thing known to man but I feel like my lips look a little bit nicer.

I always feel like my make up doesn’t look how it does in person so I took three pictures in different lighting so hopefully you can see how the make up looks! It was also super difficult to try and pull the exact same face.

Okey dokes so this is the make up I will be wearing on New Years Eve! I hope you enjoyed this post and have an amazing time. Please stay safe and I will talk to you in the new year! Good bye for now little buns!

Quick & easy Christmas Make up look 2014!

I said I’d get this post up today and I have. WOOHOO GO ME! Better late than never, eh? So anyway, make up. I know I said I’d have two looks but I wasn’t very happy with the second one so I’ll just skim over that bit quickly…

For my base I started with my Nivea moisturiser just to shake things up a bit and then slapped on my new MAC BB cream with my fingers because I really wanted to test it. Then I used my usual collection concealer to conceal (duh) and highlight and then used a darker concealer from my no name concealer palette to contour.

After all that faffing I moved onto my powder make up things… I used my sleek blush in “flushed”, my bourjois chocolate bronzer and my MAC mineralised skin finish in “lightscapade” to finish off my face make up, I didn’t wear a face powder because my skin always gets really dry in the winter so I don’t really need one.

Moving onto eyes…

I started by using my nars smudgeproof eye shadow primer and then packed on my two L’oreal gold single eye shadows, not forgetting to put some on my inner corner too. I then used “darkhorse from my mini Urban Decay palette and blended that in my outer corners, crease and underneath my bottom lash line along with the gold colours. Next I created a cute lil wing with my maybelline black gel liner. Then I used my Maybelline great lash and my clinique bottom lash mascara to top it all off. Simples!

I then did my usual eyebrow routine with my Benefit Brow Zings and Maybelline Brow Drama and popped on The Body Shop “crazy sexy crimson” lipstick and et voila! I also tried this look out with my MAC “sultana” patent polish lip pencil and my Max Factor “mulberry” lipstick and I love how that came out too.

make of the cups

I’m so sorry about the bags under my eyes by the way, my job has taken away every ounce of energy I had.

And just for the lols here is the other make up look that turned out to be a w f u l but hey, I tried. The eye shadow doesn’t look red at all and my lipstick is far too brown for my liking. I wasn’t quite sure how I could salvage the eye shadow, I think I got a little bit too excited.

And since this posted ended up being shorter than I imagined, here is some stuff I just bought- YAY!

I will be testing out the Real Techniques “beauty blender” style sponge and using the maybelline The Rocket mascara and collection Glam eyes glitter liner in my New Years Eve look. I’m no longer off on New Years Eve though so that post will probably be up on the Sunday after Christmas. I plan to post on Christmas day but if something gets in the way (aka I nap longer than usual) I hope you all have an amazing Christmas and stay safe! Oooh whilst I’m here, I also applied for X Factor…GOODBYE FOR NOW LITTLE BUNS! ❤

Get pampered and ready with me!

Hi guys! I’ve had a pretty busy few weeks so I thought that today I would relax and take a little time to focus on myself.

I took inspiration from Carli Bybel and started by making myself a smoothie to make me feel good on the inside.

For this I used frozen rhubarb, one banana, one kiwi, a ton of spinach, a splodge of honey and a little bit of milk and water to make it creamy but not be just dairy. Sometimes I use unsweetened soy or almond milk but I wanted the calcium today sooo yeah. It tastes super yummy and refreshing so is great first thing in the morning or any other time when you need a little pick-me-up.

I then used the Herbal Essences Bee Strong hair mask and my fave Avon Pore Penetrating Mineral Face Mask and sat on my bed with my big fluffy dressing gown on whilst I let them do their magic. I like to catch up on any missed blog posts or youtube videos during this time, at the minute I am really loving this baes blog (and her new hair).

See? There I am, chilling.

After washing off my face mask I used this hand treatment that I found for 99p! You just leave the gloves on for 20 minutes et voila! I just rubbed in what was left on my hands and then rinsed off the excess because I had been rubbing my hands for ages.

While running my bath I decided to have breakfast food for lunch because it is my favourite. I just made some porridge and added a teaspoon of chocolate spread and then a sliced a banana, cinnamon, cocoa powder, a drizzle of honey and some chunky peanut butter on top. SO GOOD

I decided to use the last purchase from my lush haul which is the “Granny Takes A Dip” bath bomb. I’m gonna miss smelling this every time I open my drawer. It is so ‘citrusy’ and spicy, I could eat it.

It also looks amazing as you pop it into your bath, the colour literally explodes, however my bath just looked pink rather than a mix of the different colours.

Its still super lovely and makes my skin feel amazing though! I then tidied up my eyebrows and put my make up on before drying my hair and throwing it up into a bun.

You can hardly see my eye shadow here but I will put a picture up on my insta if you want to see my make up on a worse camera but not as washed out.

I then took a little trip to the shops and bought some things for Christmas so lemme just show you them real quick.

I got 2 big snowmen and 1 santa from Thorntons to go with peoples gifts, they were half price AND on 3 for 2- so £10 all together!!!

I then got my Mum some tea lights to give her them on Christmas Eve and then two samplers for my room.

Then I picked my cousin up some make up for her to play with as she’s only 12 but being related to me she loves make up. I have the Heaven & Earth palette from MUA and the pigmentation is amazing so I thought that she would love this.

And since everything was on 3 for 2 I bought myself some early Christmas presents. I will probably review the B. Replenished facial oil, I think that it will be my saviour with this cold weather but we will see! This lip combo is so vampy and dark, I have a feeling I am going to wear this all the time in winter.

Its like the perfect amount of purple and red. If you want to recreate this it is, Max Factor “Mulberry” lipstick and Collection “Damson” lip liner.

And that is about it! I am just going to go for my singing lesson now and just chill later on and watch I’m a Celeb- I also bet my Mum that Gemma would go out in the first week, she owes me a pound. Goodbye for now little buns!

Sick to Chic, Victoria’s Secret style

I hope you just cringed at that title as much as I did. I also realise that this looks exactly like my Cheryl inspired look but at the same time completely different.

The other day I got my first ever MAC purchase. And it is beautiful. The whole look was kinda influenced by it, I’m just in love. So let’s get started and you will see what it is in just a tick.

Here’s me with a “head cold”, tonsillitis and a temperature. YAY. I also kinda did my eyebrows before I started because I want them to look nice and natural.

I started by mixing my L’oreal True Match with my simple illuminating radiance cream yadayadayada you guys know the drill. But this time I used a wet disposable make up sponge to really push it into my skin (…that actually sounds gross) because this girl needs a lot of coverage right now.

Then I concealed using my collection lasting perfection as per usual under my eyes, on my chin and cupids bow, down the bridge of my nose and the teeniest tiniest bit on the lower centre bit of my forehead, kinda in between my eyebrows. Then I used my Rimmel clear complexion powder just to set that very lightly as I still wanna look super healthy and glowy.

Then I went in with Sleeks “Rose gold” blush, I love love love this! It’s the perfect pink colour with a gorgeous gold shimmer, much like the Nars “Orgasm” blush but a lot more affordable and with such a better name.

Then I went in with my MAC mineralised skin finish in “Lightscapade” with one of my new super soft pink brushes in the same places I put my concealer and also on my brow bone. Oh my. It is so shimmery and the perfect colour, I look so much healthier when I’m wearing this, so obviously, being sick, this was a must. The camera doesn’t do it any justice, go wander into MAC and have a look at this, like, if you feel like you might be a little too pale for “soft and gentle” or you want to look a little more natural I would so recommend this, definitely worth the money.

Then I chucked some bourjois bronzer on as I always do because Lord knows I need a bit of colour and moved onto my eyes.

I started with the Maybelline colour tattoo in “On and on bronze” just with my finger and blended that out with this cute lil colour from my MUA “Heaven and Earth” palette, I also put it underneath my eye with another finger.

OH LOOK A MAC 217 BRUSH, HOW DID THAT GET THERE? I bought it, that’s how. It’s a little denser than I imagined but it blends out flawlessly and effortlessly.

Okay so then I used the Barry M blink waterproof liner to create a thin line on my top lashline and followed that with the Avon supershock mascara because that looks more natural than some of my other mascaras.

After that I just brushed through my brows with the Maybelline brow drama and let them be.

To finish I used a lipgloss that I got in a gift set ages ago but the colour looks very similar to the Tanya Burr “picnic in the park” lip gloss.

Why does it look like I have a moustache AGAIN? I promise you I got rid of it and it’s just come back more powerful and stronger than ever. But look at that shimmer. HNNNNGGG I CAN’T COPE.

Because I couldn’t be bothered doing the whole ” big bombshell curls” (is that even what people call them?) I decided to go more natural and used my mane n tail hair strengthener, which also protects the hair from heat(!), and my toni and guy sea salt spray. After letting my hair dry for about half an hour I just sprayed both of these on and sort of plonked my hair in the diffuser multiple times until it was almost dry and then let it air dry because I’m too lazy and impatient.

I am having such a positive relationship with my hair right now, I love you mane n tail. My hair has never been so shiny and soft. Also, how fast has it grown please? I have used up my “olive oil complex” duo and now have the original to try out, I’ll let you know how they differ.

So that is it for today- I promise my next tutorial will be as different to this as physically possible. No brown eye shadows in sight! Okay maybe just one.

Before I go I’ll just give you guys a quick little update, I finally went the doctors for real and they did some blood tests and I will be referred to a psychiatrist or something of the sort but obviously nothing is set in stone yet but I will keep you updated and all that lark. Hope you all have an amazing week, good-bye for now little buns!

‘Cheryl- I don’t care’ inspired make up look!

Hi guys! Today’s post won’t have many photos in (cry) as I need to go to my singing lesson pronto so I have left myself enough time now to write this and go… hopefully! Also, I kinda hate myself for loving this song because it’s so bad but at the same time it’s so good.

Here’s me before I throw things on my face in a controlled manner. I’m sick.

Because her look in this is super natural and lovely I decided to make myself a “BB cream” as my base. I just mixed my smashbox hydrating primer, l’oreal true match foundation, smashbox liquid halo foundation, simple illuminating radiance cream and some rimmel clear complexion face powder. I promise it’s not as complicated as it sounds. Just primer, foundation, moisturiser and powder!

I then concealed using my collection lasting perfection as per usual and kindaaaa highlighted with it but not too much, just nice and subtle. I just set that with a little more powder.

Then I used my real techniques blush brush and my bourjois bronzer to contour (kinda heavily) my face, focusing on my cheekbones. I then switched to my Sleek “sahara” blush and a smaller angled blush brush to hollow them out more precisely! For actual blush I used both sleek “flushed” and “rose gold” to look natural but still dewy.

To achieve Cheryl’s highlight I used Benefits Highbeam and placed that on the high points of my cheekbones, my cupids bow, my nose and my chin. Not on my forehead because Lord knows that doesn’t need to look any bigger. Then my towel fell off my head so I put my fave headband on to keep my hair out of my face.

For my eyes I started by priming them with the nars smudgeproof eyeshadow primer and then put my face powder over top to ensure that any other colours would blend out nicely. I then just used my bourjois bronzer in my crease, lightly over my lid and on my lower lash line. Then I used a random darker brown colour from the MUA heaven and earth palette to deepen my crease slightly (aye aye). Next I used the L’oreal “nude 205” eye shadow sparingly on my lid. Next I put L’oreals “chrome brown” eyeliner on my waterline and along my top lash line. To finish my eyes off I curled my lashes and applied Benefits They’re Real! mascara.

Now, for my eyebrows I had to go pretty natural, because Cheryl has got naturally fab brows, which saddened me a little I’m not gonna lie. I used the Maybelline brow drama in “medium brown” and went over that with a teeny tiny bit of a random brown eyeshadow to make them match my hair a bit more.

To finish my make up I put on a Collection Colour Pout lip stain which name has rubbed off but I think its “kiss 2”.

I think they tried to make Cheryl’s hair look naturally curly so because mine is I’m just going to leave it to dry. If yours isn’t then you could always curl it, use heated rollers, or if you are planning this look for another day, sleep with your hair rolled up in socks, I might have a post including that in the future since it’s such a handy dandy trick.

Look it’s the paler, less pretty, slightly more gothic looking Cheryl Fernadez-Versini…kinda. Anyway I hope you guys enjoyed this post! If you would like to see any more celebrity inspired looks just let me know and I will be sure to do them for you! Also, guess who hit 100 followers- ME! I can’t believe 100 of you are following me, first of all why? and second of all THANK YOU SO MUCH! Literally the best Christmas present ever. Goodbye for now little buns!

Doll Halloween tutorial!

Did you miss me? Did you? I thought so. I’ve got another Halloween tutorial for you guys since October seems to be flying over! Before I start, I know that my eyelashes are hardly stuck on, the glue was 99p from wilkos and I cant see to put them on properly because I obviously can’t do my makeup with my glasses on. Feel free to laugh.

I threw my hair up into two bunches and put a white blouse and my unicorn jumper on to get into the doll theme. I started by just putting on some of the Simple Illuminating Radiance Cream to give me a glowy complexion and smooth over any dry patches of skin.

I then used my Smashbox Liquid Halo foundation in shade 1 with a damp sponge (use a beauty blender if you have one, but a damp makeup sponge works just as well) to dab it onto my face. I then highlighted using my usual Collection Lasting perfection concealer in “1-fair” like this-

DONE. There is also some under the hollows of my cheeks that you cant see but I promise it’s there. Just blend it in with the same sponge because you’re to lazy to go and dampen another one.

I then took this no name concealer palette and used the colour I so kindly pointed out to contour my cheekbones and the top of my forehead, nowhere else for now.

Then I used a teeny tiny bit of this cheapo mineral powder with the Real Techniques powder brush to set all of the cream products on my face and also give me a little more coverage.

I then used my Bourjois bronzer to fully contour my face, especially under my chin and along my jawline because dolls don’t have double chins. Then I put Benefits High Beam on my cheekbones and cupids bow for that extra shine.

Next I put Sleeks “rose gold” blusher just onto the apples of my cheeks and very slightly blended it back towards my ear, very slightly.

Aaaaand this is what your face should look like at this point- HI.

If like me you have oily lids and/or hooded eyes you won’t want to skip the primer! I use the Nars Smudge proof eyeshadow primer and I bloody love it.

UD mini palette

For my eyes I used this mini Urban Decay palette, I have no idea where you can get it from because it was bought as a present last year- apologies. To start I used “verve” all over my lid, up to where I would like my crease to be #hoodedeyesprobs. I then took “suspect” on a fluffy brush just above that to blend it out slightly. I then took “dark horse” on an angled brush so that I could place the colour precisely, creating a cut crease from my inner corners to the outer edge of my eyes and then blending it out. I then put “woodstock” in roughly the same place as the previous colour and kept blending until I was happy with it.

Now for eyeliner. I firstly took my super cheap and reliable white eyeliner and put that in and underneath my water line. I then used the maybelline black gel liner on an angled brush to create a thin(ish) line on the top and then underneath the white eyeliner. Then just extend it at the bottom and join it up with the top line, not winging it out because that is just too advanced.

I just used “strange” from the naked 3 palette to go over the white eyeliner for a little more pigmentation and completely under my brows.

I then used the Barry M Blink eyeliner to create fake bottom eyelashes, simples *meerkat noise*.

For my brows I actually used a stencil to make them more symmetrical. I just use this dark brown colour that looks glittery but because it’s so cheap, isn’t at all- win!

I then just added some freckles using this Urban Decay eyeliner in “whiskey”.

After failing miserably at putting on false eyelashes, you should look a little something like this. It’s weird seeing me with big eyes.

I’m not actually sure what brand these lipsticks are, possibly Collection but they are just really bright pink colours. I used the lighter one in the centre of my lips and the darker one just on the outside and on the corners, See?

Okay so that is it! I wouldn’t say that this is a quicker Halloween look but it is definitely fun! Now just for some more photos even though this post has been practically just photos….

Okay so that’s it for now! I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, goodbye for now little buns!
