How to: be poor

As you can probably tell there was a little bit of sarcasm in the title but in all seriousness though I have 12p. However, being skint, doesn’t mean that you can’t do anything.

I’m the type of person who “hates everyone” (mainly when I’m in town) unless I have chosen them as a friend- some people just have no common sense and get in the way, like what are you dooooing. But yeah, the people I choose to spend time with are great and I could spend everyday with them.

So here’s some cheap/free activities to do with your chosen people;

Go on a walk; I know this is probably pretty obvious but sometimes it’s nice to just be out the house, soaking up your surroundings and having a good chat

Girls night; now, if you’re prepared, this can be dirt cheap. Root through your freezer for food that you can cook in advance and have out to snack on. Face masks can be easily made at home with your average household kitchen items, and if a bit of a chocolate face mask accidentally drops into your mouth then you just have to eat it don’t you. I’m guessing you probably have a, or some, nail varnish- nail art can be done using toothpicks and Bobby pins, and can take some time. And lastly, chuck on a good chick flick, you can’t go wrong.

Film/post; if you’re a blogger or YouTuber, getting your friends involved in your posts or videos can be pretty fun, and free if you already have the equipment, and considering you are reading this on some sort of phone or laptop, you probably do!

Chill; whether this is done in a park, garden, living room, some chill time is always good. Sunbathing, watching TV, or grabbing a coffee (for those with at least £2.50) is always much better with company. Recently I have been trying to meditate often,it lets your mind rest and when done with others can be quite an experience.

I hope this fuelled your mind to think of some free activities, it’s always nice to spend time with you’re friends, family and one your love. Stay positive. Goodbye for now little buns!

Bikini haul?!

Hello again! Now if you know me, then you know I have only ever owned one bikini, when I was nine and I think I maybe might have worn it once under a t-shirt.BUT in September I am going to Menorca and I think that just once I should tan my belly. And hopefully I will have lost more weight by then! But if not I need to stop caring about what other people think of me anyways. Just FYI these are all from Matalan cause I was actually trying to find a dress but it wasn’t gonna happen.

DSC_0308

Firstly I picked up is this beautiful black cross over bikini top with lovely gold detailing on the straps. I love black as it just goes with anything and it so easy to wear- this was only £1.50!

DSC_0309

The second top I picked up was this gorgeous bright red one with the halter top. Again I know I can match this with a lot of things and although I don’t really like to wear colour I think this will look lovely! This wasn’t in the sale but only cost £5.

DSC_0310

The next thing I picked up were these simple black bottoms with the detachable ties on the sides, I know that these will look great with both tops, these were also £5.

DSC_0311

I picked these guys up for the exact same reason- they match with both. I mean and the fact that they were only £1.50!

DSC_0312

I think these bottoms might be my favourite! I’ll probably wear these with my black top but they would go lovely with the red top if I wanted to pair them together! Somehow, these were only £1!

DSC_0313

I really took the plunge with these last ones. I think that they will look SO cute with the red top but again would match the black one if I really wanted to match them together!

DSC_0314

They also have slight gather to make your butt look great and the most adorable little bow right on your bum bum. Again these were only £1!

I hope you liked this little haul and it inspired you to pick up some things yourself! Have a great week, goodbye for now little buns!

Lunch date MOTD

Hi guys! Today I am going to be showing you my makeup of the day including my new makeup revolution iconic pro palette which is the PERFECT dupe for the smash box full exposure palette!

It has 8 matte eye shadows and 8 shimmer eye shadows and to be quite honest I am way too excited. The shadows themselves are very pigmented and easy to blend- it’s a yes from me.

Also when I say lunch date it is with a friend who is a girl so don’t get too excited.

I know you love my dressing gown. And I’m sorry that my eyebrow game is not strong today.

Let’s begin!

First I took Luna an swept it across the lid as a base for all my other shadows.

Then I took Must and blended that in the crease, up towards my brow and in my outer corner.

I then did the same using Drama but concentrated it more in my crease to fake a shadow there.

Next I used Afflicted in my outer corners and slightly through my crease to darken the look slightly.

I then popped Fade on the centre of my lid to keep it brighter than the rest but not too dramatic looking.

Instead I eye liner I used Pitch and smudged it into my lash line to create the look of thicker lashes.

As I my inner corner highlight I used the shade Ghost.

For my lower lash line I just used Drama along the whole of it and then blended Afflicted into the outer third.

After adding on some mascara I was done! Since I have had a lot of compliments from my friends on my go to lip recently I thought I would include it!

First I just used the body shop Mahogany lip liner on the perimeter of my lips.

Then I use the lacura  Frosty Lilac lip liner all over the top.

And to seal it in place I use the collection colour pout lip stain in the  dark purpley colour (the name has rubbed off!)

I also just realised that my lips got more lazy throughout those pictures… Oops!

But yeah I hope you liked this little MOTD/review/tutorial and I will see you next time! Goodbye for now little buns!

Makeup Revolution Amazing Care Lipsticks!

I left out the #happylips bit because cringe. Hi everyone! Today I’m going to be doing a little review on the Amazing Care lipstick collection by Makeup Revolution. I feel like Makeup Revolution are like MUA but better- still cheap and chearful, but with that little bit more quality and style.

There are five colours in the range so at £3 each I obviously bought them all. I mean, why not?

The formula is enriched with Argan Oil so is super hydrating and moisturising for your lips so is essential for people like me who have super chapped lips right now. Damn you cold, damn you.

lipstick

As you can see, the lipstick-y bit is in the centre and the smooth argan oil layer surrounds it. As you can also see, I need to get my nails redone. I know. The packaging is quite nice for the price but I think I prefer the boxes they came in…

Okay so, down to business- swatches.

DSC_0242

In order these are, Electric Love, Love a hug, Love pink!, Love red! and Love nude! There’s a lot of love going on.
I took these in different lighting because the camera is not forgiving at all! The colours do look rather sheer but I think that is because its like when you wear a lipstick and a lip balm- the colour is never going to be SUPER intense. Well, for £3 it’s not.

I also tried each colour on because I am just that nice. Please ignore how wonky my lips are and the dry skin around my nose… So in the same order-

Electric Love

Love a hug

DSC_0247
Love pink!

DSC_0248
Love red!

DSC_0243
Love nude!

I personally love (see what I did there?) all of these colours and the pigmentation, they are so easy to just whack on for day to day wear. One thing I would say though is that, like a lip balm, these will just slide off. In saying that- I wore Love nude! When I was shopping today and didn’t have to reapply it until I had eaten, before that it had lasted 3 hours and still looked lovely.

So yeah, overall I am super happy with these and yes these were bought with my own money and I’m not sponsored or anything- all opinions are my own!! If you have tried them out, let me know what you think! I’m also wearing a new foundation which I have fell in love with- let me know if you would like to hear about that too! Until next time, goodbye for now little buns!

Maybelline Dream Flawless Nude Foundation Rmeview

Hey guys! Today I am going to be reviewing Maybelline’s new foundation that has a name that is far too long. Before I start, the kind woman at boots just gave me this to dry out, I didn’t get sent this or anything so my opinions are all genuine blah blah blah let’s start.

DSC_0231

So here is my face with nothing on it, apart from my new nose stud, HELLO! Yeah I got it done yesterday and I’m still super excited about it!

I didn’t use a primer or add a facial oil to the foundation which I have been doing for a while now because I really wanted to push this to the limits as my skin has been really dry at the minute. It looks a little better than usual as I have changed my skin care routine (Would you like to see an updated post on it?) however the winter weather is still drying it out.

The actual foundation is very thin, similar to the L’oreal eau de teint foundation which I really loved but unfortunately was too dark for me, like most foundations. Including this one. However the thin consistency made it super easy to blend out meaning that the colour matched me more with the less I actually used.

It is super lightweight and feels like you have nothing on (I just stroked my face to double check).

I would say that it is a light to medium coverage and is definitely buildable. It is very matt so if you have dry skin like me, don’t use a powder over top!

DSC_0233

As you can see it looks like powder on the skin so be very careful you don’t get cake face. Don’t mind the corner of my lip there, it’s kinda inflamed, sob.

Also, my camera battery died so my after picture is also a picture from about 5 hours later (I went to get my nails done and cleaned the house), but it still looks exactly the same!

DSC_0232

I also wore this foundation all day yesterday and it didn’t settle into any fine lines or dry spots by the time I’d took my make up off at around 10pm! I was super impressed with that! Out of 10 I would give this foundation an 8 just because I typically prefer a more dewy foundation and it is slightly orange toned.  *My nose stud just fell out as I pushed my glasses up and I just had to “repierce” it myself and I fainted and had to take a 20 minute break, just thought I’d let you know*
DSC_0237
I also got both an iphone 4s to replace my samsung brick and my nails done because hell it’s valentines day and if I don’t spoil myself then who’s going to?!
Anyway I’m going to go for a nap now because I can’t feel my legs. Goodbye for now little buns!

Planning ahead & MAC first impressions…

Hello everyone, feels like I haven’t written in aaaages! Today has been my only day off and I have only just got home (Its 8:30pm in the UK). Today I went out to Chester to do some Christmas shopping and obviously bought a couple things for myself.

After being so super happy with my MAC mineralised skin finish in Lightscapade I decided I wanted to try out some more things. These were bought from the “Costmetics Company” (at least I thing that’s what it’s called) in Cheshire Oaks (yeah, we went there too!) so I got the BB cream for £18 instead of £24 and the patentpolish lip pencil for £10.50 instead of £14.50- SCORE

Before I start, the Ted Baker stuff there is also discounted, I got my Mum a purse for £50 rather than £75- hence why I got to buy myself some Christmas presents!

DSC_0142

I apologise for the awful picture but I needed the flash on for this one! The BB cream is so creamy and smooth and blends in really well with your fingers, and from what I have seen lasts quite well however I am going to put it to the ultimate and wear it for work and then get back to you on that one. And by the way I got it in “extra light”, of course.

The lip pencil is a gorgeous dark purpley brown colour called “Sultana” and it glides on like a dream. It also leaves your lips feeling so smooth which is great for the winter time! However it does come off easily so if there’s any mistletoe about either don’t wear it or do what I do and don’t go near the mistletoe.

I feel like since I hardly have any time any more I should plan ahead so, next Thursday I will be uploading (hopefully) two Christmas looks with the same colour scheme but switched around on the eyes and lips! Then the next Thursday will be Christmas (AHHHH!!) so I will post a “haul” type of post on what I got, then a New Years Eve look on the Sunday after and then it will be the New Year! I hate not planning things and having to try and come up with something because I don’t feel like it’s the best it could be and obviously I post not just for my own enjoyment but so that you guys can enjoy reading my posts.

Alrighty so I think that will be it for today! I hope you all have an amazing rest of the week and I am sending you all massive hugs!

Don’t forget to check me out on soundcloud and instagram! Love a good ‘ole plug here and there, don’t I? Goodbye for now little buns!

Get pampered and ready with me!

Hi guys! I’ve had a pretty busy few weeks so I thought that today I would relax and take a little time to focus on myself.

I took inspiration from Carli Bybel and started by making myself a smoothie to make me feel good on the inside.

DSC_0117

For this I used frozen rhubarb, one banana, one kiwi, a ton of spinach, a splodge of honey and a little bit of milk and water to make it creamy but not be just dairy. Sometimes I use unsweetened soy or almond milk but I wanted the calcium today sooo yeah. It tastes super yummy and refreshing so is great first thing in the morning or any other time when you need a little pick-me-up.

I then used the Herbal Essences Bee Strong hair mask and my fave Avon Pore Penetrating Mineral Face Mask and sat on my bed with my big fluffy dressing gown on whilst I let them do their magic. I like to catch up on any missed blog posts or youtube videos during this time, at the minute I am really loving this baes blog (and her new hair).

DSC_0122

See? There I am, chilling.

DSC_0123

After washing off my face mask I used this hand treatment that I found for 99p! You just leave the gloves on for 20 minutes et voila! I just rubbed in what was left on my hands and then rinsed off the excess because I had been rubbing my hands for ages.

DSC_0125

While running my bath I decided to have breakfast food for lunch because it is my favourite. I just made some porridge and added a teaspoon of chocolate spread and then a sliced a banana, cinnamon, cocoa powder, a drizzle of honey and some chunky peanut butter on top. SO GOOD

DSC_0126

I decided to use the last purchase from my lush haul which is the “Granny Takes A Dip” bath bomb. I’m gonna miss smelling this every time I open my drawer. It is so ‘citrusy’ and spicy, I could eat it.

DSC_0128

DSC_0127

It also looks amazing as you pop it into your bath, the colour literally explodes, however my bath just looked pink rather than a mix of the different colours.

DSC_0130

Its still super lovely and makes my skin feel amazing though! I then tidied up my eyebrows and put my make up on before drying my hair and throwing it up into a bun.

MOTD:
DSC_0131

DSC_0136

You can hardly see my eye shadow here but I will put a picture up on my insta if you want to see my make up on a worse camera but not as washed out.

I then took a little trip to the shops and bought some things for Christmas so lemme just show you them real quick.

DSC_0140

I got 2 big snowmen and 1 santa from Thorntons to go with peoples gifts, they were half price AND on 3 for 2- so £10 all together!!!

DSC_0141

I then got my Mum some tea lights to give her them on Christmas Eve and then two samplers for my room.

DSC_0142

Then I picked my cousin up some make up for her to play with as she’s only 12 but being related to me she loves make up. I have the Heaven & Earth palette from MUA and the pigmentation is amazing so I thought that she would love this.

DSC_0143

And since everything was on 3 for 2 I bought myself some early Christmas presents. I will probably review the B. Replenished facial oil, I think that it will be my saviour with this cold weather but we will see! This lip combo is so vampy and dark, I have a feeling I am going to wear this all the time in winter.

DSC_0144

Its like the perfect amount of purple and red. If you want to recreate this it is, Max Factor “Mulberry” lipstick and Collection “Damson” lip liner.

And that is about it! I am just going to go for my singing lesson now and just chill later on and watch I’m a Celeb- I also bet my Mum that Gemma would go out in the first week, she owes me a pound. Goodbye for now little buns!
