Get Ready With Me | Beach day!

Hi Guys! With the weather (hopefully) getting warmer as the days go by, I thought I would show you my hair, make up and outfit for the beach! Little fact- I hate the beach, so if you’re like me and are trying to be really enthusiastic even though you don’t want to go, worry no further, I have you covered.

DSC_0286

I started with my usual B.Ready moisturiser which has SPF 15 in it to protect my skin from any sun damage. I also used my MAC strobe cream on my cheekbones, bridge of my nose, chin, cupids bow and the middle of my forehead. Pretty much anywhere where you would apply a highlighter.

DSC_0287

For my base I didn’t want anything too heavy so I used a little bit of my L’Oreal True Match foundation in “Rose Ivory” which also has SPF 17 for added protection. I then went in with some Revlon Colour Stay concealer to hide my (designer…I wish) bags. For a little extra coverage I used my busted MUA powder in shade 3- I think, just to give me a bit of colour!

DSC_0288

For bronzer, blusher and highlighter I used my Urban Decay Flushed palette in “Native”, it is so quick and easy and super pigmented! The bronzer is quite warm so as I contour my cheekbones I just make sure to blend it upwards so that it doesn’t look muddy and gives me that perfect sun kissed look!

DSC_0289

For my eyes I started with the Nars smudge proof eye shadow primer so that my eye shadow doesn’t disappear! I then FORGOT TO TAKE PICTURES (well done me) but used the Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro 1 palette and started with the colours “Fade” and “Must” in my crease and under my eyes. Then I popped “Luna” on my lid to brighten my eyes and used the George white eye liner in my waterline to also make me appear more awake than I actually am! To give my lashes more volume I used the NYC High Definition liquid eye liner and just made a thin line along my top lash line. Next I curled my lashes as per usual and coated them with the Benefit They’re Real mascara.

DSC_0290

I followed that with my normal brow routine but used a lot less product than usual because I didn’t want to look too ‘made up’ to go to the beach (ha, get it??).

DSC_0291

To finish my make up I used my NIvea Lip butter in caramel cream, I swear I could eat this, my Lacura lip liner (surprise, surprise) to neaten the perimeter of my lips and then my Tanya Burr lip gloss in “Picnic in the park”. Et voila!

DSC_0284

For my hair I kept it SUPER simple and just chucked it up in a bun because who wants sandy, tatty, wind swept hair? Not me.

DSC_0285

I also laughed far too much at how stripey my hair is.

For my outfit I used wore an old dress with a denim jacket because summer is not my thing and this is the only thing I own that is relatively summery. I also wore my cream high top converse and actually wore tan tights because I there is nothing that drives me more insane than sand sticking to your legs. And it meant I didn’t have to tan.

DSC_0283

And for anyone who is interested my nails are colour trend “scene” from Avon (and also very messy) with the diamond shatter top coat on my ring finger.

DSC_0282

DSC_0281

I hope you enjoyed this post and I helped you out in some way! I’m off to have a prom make up rehearsal for my cousin and her friend (wish me luck!) so I will see you on the other side! Goodbye for now little buns!

Day time spring make up look! | Collaboration with BeautifulBreakable

Hey Everyone! Today I have a pretty exciting (well, for me anyway!) collab for you guys! Along with the amazing Jess from Beautiful, Breakable I have created a spring make up look. I chose to create the day look and Jess chose to create the night look, so go over to her blog to check it out!

So, let’s begin!

DSC_0229

For my base I used my regular moisturiser from B and mixed that with my MAC strobe cream to ensure a dewy finish. I then mixed my L’oreal True Match foundation and my Illamasqua skin base together to make the perfect full coverage foundation that will stay on all day! To conceal and highlight I used my MAC pro longwear concealer in NC15.

DSC_0232

To set that all in place I used my colour correcting peals from Avon, they will also help you give you the perfect dewy finish!

DSC_0230

To give some colour to my skin and contour I used the second shade down on the right of the palette. I just popped this underneath my cheekbones, lightly down either side of my nose, along the top of my forehead, under my lip and under my jaw line. So pretty much everywhere. I also used the peach blush from this make up revolution palette to give me that healthy complexion.

DSC_0231

For my highlighter I used this gold looking baked highligher from make up revolution. I placed this on my cheekbones, chin, brow bone, cupids bow, a little on the bridge of my nose and also used it as my inner corner highlight on my eyes. It gives a beautiful sheen and is more subtle and therefore suitable for day time.

DSC_0233

To create my simple eye look I used the maybelline colour tattoo in “on and on bronze” and slightly blended that out. Then I lined my upper lash line with the Barry M ‘Blink’ waterproof eyeliner. Next I used the maybelline chromatics eye liner in “turn on the teal” for my waterline and blended that out slightly using a small detailed brush with a bit of my sleek “sahara” blush on it (not pictured…oops!). To finish I curled my lashed and used my Maybelline The Rocket waterproof eye liner. I really didn’t plan for my eyes to be nearly all maybelline but they know what they are doing on the eye-front!

DSC_0234

For my brows I used my Anastasia dip brow in “dark brown” and my Maybelline brow drama in “medium brown”.

DSC_0235

To finish the look off I just used my Tanya Burr lipgloss in “picnic in the park”. Et voila!

DSC_0227

I hope you enjoyed this post and have some ideas for your perfect spring make up, don’t forget to hop over to Jess’ blog and check out her make up look!  You can also see my dress for my birthday party in the background… and a splodge of hairspray on my glasses. Well done me. But anyway- until next time..Goodbye for now little buns!

How to & review: Eylure Pro Brow dye kit

Hi everyone! Today I tinted my eyebrows so I thought I would make a post on it I mean, why not? I have used this a couple times and also done my Mums eyebrows with it so I felt like now was a good time.

As you all know I do suffer from bald spots in my eyebrows, its a horrible disease that many people are effected by but it can be disguised and tinting those almost white hairs that  are the only things that sit in your bald spots is absolutely necessary.

DSC_0257

It comes with the colour, the activator, a little white stick which I just use to mix it together and a handy dandy spoolie which helps for a quick and easy application.

Me being me, I lost the instructions a while back, so I just use the “sensitivity test” on the back of the box as a guideline. It says to mix 1cm of colour with 3 drops of the activator so I did just over 1cm with 4 drops because I like to really slap it on- like this…

DSC_0253

I just use the spoolie to comb it through my brows and then clean up with a cotton bud if necessary. I think I left it for 5 minutes last time which for me wasn’t enough, so this time I left it for 7 minutes before washing it off with a flannel and warm water. It doesn’t really stain your skin so don’t worry to much if your application was a little messy, like mine.

eylure tint

Et voila! My brows still look natural but a lot fuller, which is what I am after! And I know its hard to tell in the photo but the tail of my brow is a lot more visible! And I don’t quite know why my face is so red on the first picture but it does kind of make my bald spots harder to make out, which I didn’t notice until now- well done Chloe, well done.

The actual colour of them is a lot more of a rich, warm brown rather than a mousey, dirty brown- which is always nice! It also makes it a lot easier when I am colouring my eyebrows in. It lasts for up to 6 weeks which is great as we all know I am super lazy so I can just forget about them for a month and a half!

The tint doesn’t really have any smell to it so it won’t make you hesitate before putting it on your face. I think the kit cost me £7 but it will probably last me until near the end of this year so I don’t really mind at all!

Overall I would definitely buy it again and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for an easy eyebrow tint to do at home!

Now- a little explanation as to where I have been the past few weeks.. About 2 weeks ago I had a talk with my boss about college and told her how it makes me feel uncomfortable and I panic and panic about it from Tuesday to Sunday. I also had to tell her about my treatment I am getting and exactly what for and how that is making college even more difficult to attend. Luckily she is very understanding and kind and has offered me part time work, starting this week, while they look for another apprentice, so last week I was in work 5 days, sorting out avon, going to my therapist and still trying to see friends and go to rehearsals, hence the very short post! I was also supposed to have my last therapy session the other day but my scores are still too high so I have to go on another waiting list to see someone who is higher up and can offer me more sessions that are longer too! So everything has been pretty hectic but everything should be back to normal now!

If you managed to make it to the end of all my waffling then well done! I hope you all have a great week and take care of yourselves, good bye for now little buns!

PS. I think I might get a Hamster

PSS. What should I call it? My last one was called flump so if you can think of any cute, weird names then I would be super grateful if you left them in the comments below.

PSSS. Look out for my lil hammy on my instagram and probs in my next post!! Okay I’m leaving now…

Taylor Momsen inspired look!

Hi everyone! Sorry I’ve been a little MIA this past week- a lot has happened! I will catch you up at the end of the post cause I know sometimes you just wanna get on with the look so let’s get started!! (Disclaimer, this is an inspired look so it’s not as full on as Taylor to make it more wearable)

Before:

DSC_0240

I actually already had make up on from this morning so I just added to it by starting with my eyes (obviously, it’s Taylor Momsen inspired)

I started with “backdoor” from the Urban Decay smoked palette and just packed that on the lids and blended it upwards, making sure I put it all the way into my inner corner which is scary for us small eyed people. I repeated it again to get a more intense colour. Then I took “faint” from the UD naked basics palette and used that to blend further up my eye bags as I like to call them. This just makes the eyeshadows look more blended and ‘grungey’. (Hi blue liner)

browns

Next I plonked “blackout” from the smoked palette onto my eye lid and blended that upwards and took it out towards the end of my eyebrow. I also put this on my bottom lash line using a pencil brush and then used my ring finger to smudge over the top.

after black

Next I added a really thin line of the Barry M Blink eye liner just along my lashline to intensify the look. I also recurled my lashes and added a little more mascara, this time using the Avon Super Shock mascara. To finish my eye region I filled in the bald spots of my eyebrows using the Anastasia Dip Brow pomade in “dark brown”.

liner

brows filled in

Now, I didn’t put a dark liner on my waterline because my eyes are damn small but if you want to then it would look super sultry. You could even use a coloured liner to make your eyes pop!

lip liner

Then you wanna really roughly outline your lips using the collection “damson” lip pencil, not in the centre though because the lipstick is more red toned and it will create a very subtle ombre effect.

After:
finished look

I just popped the Gerard Cosmetics “cherry cordial” lipstick over the top and BOOM WE’RE DONE.

So yeah, since last week..bare in mind this was meant to be a relaxing week off.
Thursday I had my first appointment with my therapist so that was eventful and then met up with a friend to take my mind off things, and then realised I hadn’t been paid yet and couldn’t even afford a maccies so that was fun.
Then on the Friday I had a follow up appointment for my asthma and they said I need another inhaler with steroids in, watch out for my biceps.
Saturday was my best friends 18th and that was even more eventful! But also one of the most fun nights I’ve had!!
Then on Sunday I went out with my parents in the morning and my work friends in the evening, then had a huge panic attack before I was going to bed and managed to knock my nose stud out and then spent 2 and a half hours trying to get it back in with brute force (and a frozen baby carrot to numb my nose a bit…) so then in college yesterday I was already feeling ill and was running on almost no sleep.
And then this morning I had to see my therapist again and went out shopping with my Dad and then remembered that I’m in work now until Sunday so I need to get a post up!
Also, fun fact, all but the first picture in this post are screenshots from videos because I tried to film this and failed miserably! One day I will be able to film tutorials, one day… You guys are just gonna have to stick around until then!! 😉 I hope you all have a great week and I will speak to you soon! Goodbye for now little buns!

Get pampered and ready with me!

Hi guys! I’ve had a pretty busy few weeks so I thought that today I would relax and take a little time to focus on myself.

I took inspiration from Carli Bybel and started by making myself a smoothie to make me feel good on the inside.

DSC_0117

For this I used frozen rhubarb, one banana, one kiwi, a ton of spinach, a splodge of honey and a little bit of milk and water to make it creamy but not be just dairy. Sometimes I use unsweetened soy or almond milk but I wanted the calcium today sooo yeah. It tastes super yummy and refreshing so is great first thing in the morning or any other time when you need a little pick-me-up.

I then used the Herbal Essences Bee Strong hair mask and my fave Avon Pore Penetrating Mineral Face Mask and sat on my bed with my big fluffy dressing gown on whilst I let them do their magic. I like to catch up on any missed blog posts or youtube videos during this time, at the minute I am really loving this baes blog (and her new hair).

DSC_0122

See? There I am, chilling.

DSC_0123

After washing off my face mask I used this hand treatment that I found for 99p! You just leave the gloves on for 20 minutes et voila! I just rubbed in what was left on my hands and then rinsed off the excess because I had been rubbing my hands for ages.

DSC_0125

While running my bath I decided to have breakfast food for lunch because it is my favourite. I just made some porridge and added a teaspoon of chocolate spread and then a sliced a banana, cinnamon, cocoa powder, a drizzle of honey and some chunky peanut butter on top. SO GOOD

DSC_0126

I decided to use the last purchase from my lush haul which is the “Granny Takes A Dip” bath bomb. I’m gonna miss smelling this every time I open my drawer. It is so ‘citrusy’ and spicy, I could eat it.

DSC_0128

DSC_0127

It also looks amazing as you pop it into your bath, the colour literally explodes, however my bath just looked pink rather than a mix of the different colours.

DSC_0130

Its still super lovely and makes my skin feel amazing though! I then tidied up my eyebrows and put my make up on before drying my hair and throwing it up into a bun.

MOTD:
DSC_0131

DSC_0136

You can hardly see my eye shadow here but I will put a picture up on my insta if you want to see my make up on a worse camera but not as washed out.

I then took a little trip to the shops and bought some things for Christmas so lemme just show you them real quick.

DSC_0140

I got 2 big snowmen and 1 santa from Thorntons to go with peoples gifts, they were half price AND on 3 for 2- so £10 all together!!!

DSC_0141

I then got my Mum some tea lights to give her them on Christmas Eve and then two samplers for my room.

DSC_0142

Then I picked my cousin up some make up for her to play with as she’s only 12 but being related to me she loves make up. I have the Heaven & Earth palette from MUA and the pigmentation is amazing so I thought that she would love this.

DSC_0143

And since everything was on 3 for 2 I bought myself some early Christmas presents. I will probably review the B. Replenished facial oil, I think that it will be my saviour with this cold weather but we will see! This lip combo is so vampy and dark, I have a feeling I am going to wear this all the time in winter.

DSC_0144

Its like the perfect amount of purple and red. If you want to recreate this it is, Max Factor “Mulberry” lipstick and Collection “Damson” lip liner.

And that is about it! I am just going to go for my singing lesson now and just chill later on and watch I’m a Celeb- I also bet my Mum that Gemma would go out in the first week, she owes me a pound. Goodbye for now little buns!

Sick to Chic, Victoria’s Secret style

I hope you just cringed at that title as much as I did. I also realise that this looks exactly like my Cheryl inspired look but at the same time completely different.

The other day I got my first ever MAC purchase. And it is beautiful. The whole look was kinda influenced by it, I’m just in love. So let’s get started and you will see what it is in just a tick.

DSC_0107

Here’s me with a “head cold”, tonsillitis and a temperature. YAY. I also kinda did my eyebrows before I started because I want them to look nice and natural.

I started by mixing my L’oreal True Match with my simple illuminating radiance cream yadayadayada you guys know the drill. But this time I used a wet disposable make up sponge to really push it into my skin (…that actually sounds gross) because this girl needs a lot of coverage right now.

Then I concealed using my collection lasting perfection as per usual under my eyes, on my chin and cupids bow, down the bridge of my nose and the teeniest tiniest bit on the lower centre bit of my forehead, kinda in between my eyebrows. Then I used my Rimmel clear complexion powder just to set that very lightly as I still wanna look super healthy and glowy.

Then I went in with Sleeks “Rose gold” blush, I love love love this! It’s the perfect pink colour with a gorgeous gold shimmer, much like the Nars “Orgasm” blush but a lot more affordable and with such a better name.

DSC_0108

DSC_0109

Then I went in with my MAC mineralised skin finish in “Lightscapade” with one of my new super soft pink brushes in the same places I put my concealer and also on my brow bone. Oh my. It is so shimmery and the perfect colour, I look so much healthier when I’m wearing this, so obviously, being sick, this was a must. The camera doesn’t do it any justice, go wander into MAC and have a look at this, like, if you feel like you might be a little too pale for “soft and gentle” or you want to look a little more natural I would so recommend this, definitely worth the money.

Then I chucked some bourjois bronzer on as I always do because Lord knows I need a bit of colour and moved onto my eyes.

I started with the Maybelline colour tattoo in “On and on bronze” just with my finger and blended that out with this cute lil colour from my MUA “Heaven and Earth” palette, I also put it underneath my eye with another finger.

DSC_0110

OH LOOK A MAC 217 BRUSH, HOW DID THAT GET THERE? I bought it, that’s how. It’s a little denser than I imagined but it blends out flawlessly and effortlessly.

Okay so then I used the Barry M blink waterproof liner to create a thin line on my top lashline and followed that with the Avon supershock mascara because that looks more natural than some of my other mascaras.

After that I just brushed through my brows with the Maybelline brow drama and let them be.

To finish I used a lipgloss that I got in a gift set ages ago but the colour looks very similar to the Tanya Burr “picnic in the park” lip gloss.

DSC_0111

DSC_0112

Why does it look like I have a moustache AGAIN? I promise you I got rid of it and it’s just come back more powerful and stronger than ever. But look at that shimmer. HNNNNGGG I CAN’T COPE.

DSC_0113

Because I couldn’t be bothered doing the whole ” big bombshell curls” (is that even what people call them?) I decided to go more natural and used my mane n tail hair strengthener, which also protects the hair from heat(!), and my toni and guy sea salt spray. After letting my hair dry for about half an hour I just sprayed both of these on and sort of plonked my hair in the diffuser multiple times until it was almost dry and then let it air dry because I’m too lazy and impatient.

hair

I am having such a positive relationship with my hair right now, I love you mane n tail. My hair has never been so shiny and soft. Also, how fast has it grown please? I have used up my “olive oil complex” duo and now have the original to try out, I’ll let you know how they differ.

So that is it for today- I promise my next tutorial will be as different to this as physically possible. No brown eye shadows in sight! Okay maybe just one.

Before I go I’ll just give you guys a quick little update, I finally went the doctors for real and they did some blood tests and I will be referred to a psychiatrist or something of the sort but obviously nothing is set in stone yet but I will keep you updated and all that lark. Hope you all have an amazing week, good-bye for now little buns!
