How to: be poor

As you can probably tell there was a little bit of sarcasm in the title but in all seriousness though I have 12p. However, being skint, doesn’t mean that you can’t do anything. 

I’m the type of person who “hates everyone” (mainly when I’m in town) unless I have chosen them as a friend- some people just have no common sense and get in the way, like what are you dooooing. But yeah, the people I choose to spend time with are great and I could spend everyday with them. 

So here’s some cheap/free activities to do with your chosen people;

Go on a walk; I know this is probably pretty obvious but sometimes it’s nice to just be out the house, soaking up your surroundings and having a good chat

Girls night; now, if you’re prepared, this can be dirt cheap. Root through your freezer for food that you can cook in advance and have out to snack on. Face masks can be easily made at home with your average household kitchen items, and if a bit of a chocolate face mask accidentally drops into your mouth then you just have to eat it don’t you. I’m guessing you probably have a, or some, nail varnish- nail art can be done using toothpicks and Bobby pins, and can take some time. And lastly, chuck on a good chick flick, you can’t go wrong.

Film/post; if you’re a blogger or YouTuber, getting your friends involved in your posts or videos can be pretty fun, and free if you already have the equipment, and considering you are reading this on some sort of phone or laptop, you probably do! 

Chill; whether this is done in a park, garden, living room, some chill time is always good. Sunbathing, watching TV, or grabbing a coffee (for those with at least £2.50) is always much better with company. Recently I have been trying to meditate often,it lets your mind rest and when done with others can be quite an experience.

I’m going insane?!

Like I genuinely slept for 12 hours last night but I feel so out of it. Like everything is just happening around me and I’m watching from the outside. Very odd.

 It’s been so hectic in work and it’s got to the point where a spelling mistake can make your day. Still forcing myself to stay positive, after all, a day can only last 24 hours. 

I also watched a program called “stripped bare” last night where they literally take away everything you own and you choose an item at a time to get back and it sort of really put into perspective what is most important and how materialistic people can actually be. Like I kinda really want to get rid of everything because I feel like cluttered surroundings means a cluttered brain.. Idk tho just a theory.

How to; be happy 

Okay so let’s just like chill for a sec. Whatever may be going on, or whatever you are worrying about, forget it, block that out of you memory just for a sec. Now, soak up your surroundings. I mean I’m in work but we have really bright and matching highlighters that make everything look lovely, people playing all kinds of instruments at all different levels of ability, and a glimpse of the trees outside. For just a second, you can make all those little things matter, you can appreciate them and think about how everything that you do is ultimately your choice and we are so small and insignificant in proportion to the rest of the world. You have to appreciate everything, let yourself  smile at the simplest of things, it’s okay to be happy. So many people are negative about people’s looks, interests, and even the fact that they seem to be getting some sort of joy out of life but that doesn’t reflect on you, it reflects on them. Be that person who smiles at strangers, pulls funny faces at babies, smells the flowers on their journey home; make the most of your surroundings, even if it takes you 10 minutes to think of something even slightly positive. If you constantly tell yourself everything is awful, it most likely will be, but if you have a positive mindset and lift your mood, I can guarantee it makes things SO much easier. Do things for yourself, not for someone else. You matter, you are important, and you need to be happy. You only get one life (supposedly), live it how YOU want to. Be positive, be accepting, and be happy. I may still have 3 and a half hours left of work but I’m fortunate to have a job, with some great people, and be able to watch children and adults learn. And I can just picture giving my boyfriend a great big hug when I get home! Goodbye for now little buns, much love

Im useless

Lol bet you didn’t see that coming- me, Chloe French, not posting for months on end? Mad isn’t it, I mean that hasn’t been the topic of my last like 10 posts or anything, no not at all. I mean, sorry, again. HOWEVER I was thinking about it, and I do call this my public diary, so why do I care so much what I write about and when? I think I’m just going to post random things as and when they pop into my head. It could mean that my blog will now be totally different but oh well- I think I’m back on the scene, goodbye for now little buns, but let me assure you- not for long.

Carry On Essentials | Collab with Rawan

Hey guys! Today I am going to be telling you what my ‘carry on’ essentials are. With the weather how it is in the UK, I’m guessing most people probably want to escape to somewhere warmer asap! This is a collab with the amazing Rawan, don’t forget to visit her blog after you’ve read this post and see what her carry on essentials are!

First things first, I always need to remember to take both English and foreign money, because let’s be honest, I can’t resist a bit of airport shopping. And depending on what time and how long you are there; food. Who am I kidding its always time for food.

Something that is always a must on aeroplanes, a jumper. I don’t know why, but no matter how many layers I put on, I am always freezing. It also doubles as a pillow if you  somehow aren’t cold. BINGO.

Another thing that I always notice on planes, everything feels dry. Face, lips, hands, EVERYTHING. So for me it is absolutely necessary to take lip balm and a nourishing face cream at the very least. And the great thing is that you can always spot treat certain spots on your face if you have any problem areas.

I mean, its pretty obvious that today the majority of people will always have their phone on them, but headphones, they can be easily forgotten. And unless you want to pay an absurd amount for them on the plane, or listen to the guy next to you snoring, don’t forget to pack them!

There’s no other way to say it, planes are boring. And there is no way I can sit there unless I have a lot of entertainment. If I’m not colouring, I am forcing people to play ‘boy/girl’. Or writing about some sh*t, who knows.

And just in case, DO NOT forget any medication, just don’t.

Yeah, planes are dirty. Be the ‘Mum’ and take hand sanitiser and tissues, someone always needs a tissue.

If you’re anything like me, your ears just cannot deal with the whole ‘taking off’ and ‘landing’ situation. So hard boiled sweets, or mints to make you feel ‘fresh’, are an absolute must.

And my favourite thing to bring- slippers and/or fluffy socks. My circulation SUCKS so if I want to still have feeling in my feet, they need to be toasty. And the comfort is just unreal. I am a fan.

PS don’t forget your passport or ticket, but I felt like that was pretty standard. Like you definitely need that.

Hello 2016

It’s  been a while, hasn’t it? I’m sorry for not posting in a while, I feel like I’ve ran out of blogging ideas! I have got a planner so hopefully everything will  be more organised and weekly posts will be back! If you have any ideas though, please throw them this way! I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year, and celebrated it with the people you care about most. I uploaded a YouTube video yesterday about how I am starting the New Year, it is very different to what I normally post but I felt like it was necessary. How to: be sick, wait what?

Hello! I’m ill. As you probably guessed, but I’m gonna tell you how to be ill and be okay with it. This also works for when its THAT time of the month. You’re welcome.

First things first, treat yourself. And more importantly, your skin. I like to start with a face mask to give my skin a little boost and to make me feel all pampered. While this is on I like to do something productive like wash my make up brushes or something so that I feel a little bit better about myself.

Then I like to have a lush bath because the scent is amazing and makes my skin feel lovely jubbly! I like to use the Daddy-O shampoo to make my hair less brassy and the Happy Hippy shower gel which smells like lemons, yum!

I then use a bath bomb to treat my skin and make my bath a little bit more interesting! This is “the experimenter” and kind of smells like smoke, but in a good way! There is a video on my instagram if you are interested!

I then like to use a deep moisturiser to help my skin out, it always gets super dry when I’m sick. I couldn’t recommend this moisturiser enough! It is pretty pricey but boy is it worth the money! Keep a look out for it if you go on holiday because they have some fab sales in duty free!

Then its time for “netflix and chill”.. I always like to stick  film on while I am again doing something productive and enjoyable like editing a youtube video or something. Oh and also eating, that is great. Be sure to stay hydrated, if you have a sore throat don’t have too much dairy (even though it feels temporarily soothing) and try hot water mixed with some honey and lemon juice!

And last but certainly not least- NAP TIME! Naps are the best when you are sick, and because you’ve already been kind of productive, it is completely justified.
