Empties!

Okay so before I even started my blog I had a little space in my drawer for products that I have used up, I suppose that I thought I would have the balls to start a youtube channel by now but it appears not. I have just been piling these things up so I thought I would show you what I have used and give you a cheeky little review of each product.

DSC_0091

I’ll start with the first product I used up, the Revlon Colorstay concealer, in, no surprise, “01-fair”. I would say that it is a light-medium coverage, especially for dark circles. The smell isn’t all that noticeable and it doesn’t crease that much under my eyes. I would be tempted to repurchase this but I would use it more to cover up redness like the scar on my nose. From what I can remember it was around £8 which is reasonable but I would like a better coverage.

Next is another concealer. As you can see this is well loved and has almost no label left on the product. I feel like everyone and their dog has used this product, and in case you hadn’t guessed, it is the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer in, you guessed it, “1-fair”. This is also not full coverage however it covers enough for me to be happy with, I haven’t found any concealer that can fully cover my dark under eyes so for the time being this will do me. It does smell a little funky but to be honest I haven’t noticed a smell until I just took a sniff. For just under £4 you can’t really complain. I am on my third tube of this so I probably would, and will, repurchase this.

I have a special place in my heart for lip balm and with my love of Palmer’s cocoa butter I was super happy when I got this a while back. However I wasn’t overly impressed. It does smell amazing but its fairly thin and slippy, like those sweet scented ones that you can get in a pack of 4 for £1, you know? I also bought this when my lips were really quite chapped and there was no difference in my lips at all after using the whole thing. It does have SPF 15 which I was happy about when I was in and out of the sun and didn’t burn my lips, which I have done before and it is not fun. It was only £2 so I would be tempted to try it again but maybe the lip butter rather than the lip balms because I can imagine that to be thicker.

I can’t get enough of this stuff. As you can see this is the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. It lasted me about 3-4 months which I thought was great as I was using it every night and most mornings. There is no fragrance whatsoever and it doesn’t sting my face at all which I was chuffed with. I have had no trouble getting every last bit of make up off with this magical water. I have repurchased this already and I will probably continue to do so, especially at around £4 a bottle.

There is no way I have normal skin but this cream is blue and I was like WOAH BLUE CREAM and bought it. It claims to provide “long lasting moisture” and for your skin to “appear more radiant and youthful”. Being a ‘youth’ I didn’t really notice a difference in that respect but my skin was definitely more hydrated and this soaks into your skin so quick which was great when I had to be out the house by 7:45am. I can’t remember how much this was but it was from Aldi so as you can probably imagine it was super cheap.

DSC_0096

This is a weird one but I do use deodorant so why not stick it in here. Its also from the same brand as the moisturiser and I wanted to keep the theme going. I remember picking this up when I had no money and, of course, no deodorant. Normally my under arms can be quite sensitive and I was surprised that this didn’t actually sting, even after shaving! It also didn’t choke me which my current Garnier one is doing at the moment. I definitely would repurchase this and again, as it’s from Aldi, it’s super cheap.

So, I also don’t have oily skin but my skin goes crazy when I am stressed (all the time) and before that time of the month and I get a little scared when using an oil based moisturiser when my skin is having a little tantrum. This kept my skin moisturised without giving me extra spots or worsening the ones I had, win! I do have the “dry and sensitive skin” version of this and I like them both. The only problem is that I can’t use either of them if my face is having an extra sensitive day because both of them sting. They are around the £3 mark, give or take, so I would consider repurchasing them but they aren’t top of my list.

DSC_0097

Last but not least, my little stash of Simple products. In my time I have had many simple products, the three above which are the “eye make-up remover”, the “soothing facial toner” and the “hydrating light moisturiser”. I have also had the “foamy facial cleanser” (I think that’s what it’s called) and my current favourite “illuminating radiance cream”. I do love all of the Simple products as they aren’t pricey so are good for those on a budget, *cough cough* me, and they have never irritated my skin. Personally I am not a fan of the cleansers and will stick to my magic water and my soap&glory “peaches and clean” but I adore the other products. I have repurchased the toner 3 times, the moisturiser twice (I do need another though) and the eye make up remover twice. I have a feeling I will always go back to some Simple products, no matter what else I find. And no this isn’t sponsored in any way, shape, or form, I just really like Simple.

So that’s it for today folks! I am planning two Autumn/Winter make up looks for you guys so be on the look out for them! Hope you have a great day, goodbye for now little buns!

I bought things…again.

I’m going to kill wordpress in a minute- this is my third attempt at this bloody post, third time lucky, eh? I will try and make this as short as I can but you know me, you might want to run and get a cuppa before you start reading…

Last weekend, after walking round Ikea for hours on end, I bought two things. Two.

DSC_0094

Candles. How very predictable of me. But who doesn’t love a good candle. These were 98p each and smell so amazing, as you can see, one is strawberry and the other is apple. I refuse to burn these until my room has finished being redecorated so I just keep pulling them out of the drawer for a sniff. B-e-a-u-tiful.

On Wednesday my Mum ordered me some shoes from Very (thanks Mum, if you’re reading. If you are- how the hell did you find my blog?).

DSC_0092

FRESH CONVERSE *heavy breathing*. These were supposed to be off-white but are clearly cream. Not that I care- I have worn them 3 times already. From what I can remember, these were £27, not bad, not bad at all.

DSC_0096

I wasn’t actually expecting these until next week but OH MYYY. These came yesterday and I have never been so excited, there was also a lot of bubble wrap for me to play with. I have seen so many mixed reviews on the “Mane n Tail” products so I just wanted to try it out for myself. I am yet to wash my hair with these as I have only had them for 24 hours but I have unscrewed them and had a little sniff and wow. I don’t quite know what I was expecting them to smell like but my gosh they smell amazing. They also look like they could grow in the dark which looks pretty cool. Oh and they were £7 for the set off amazon.

Yesterday I took a little trip to the Trafford Centre and, well, things happened. I had to go and buy presents for my sister-in-law, Emily, and so that was the perfect excuse to spend my results money (Again, thanks Mum).

DSC_0107

First up was Superdrug and I got this Barry M brow kit that I picked up for Emily. Her brow game is not so strong as she has a habit of rubbing her eyebrows off (w h a t) but hopefully she will be all sorted with this. At £5.99 you can’t really complain.

DSC_0108

I really did try to resist buying another nail varnish but I just couldn’t. Barry M make up 1/3 of my nail varnish collection, I just love them. This one is called “Watermelon” and reminds me of a Autumn/Winter version of “Guava” which I adore. All their nail varnishes are around the £4 mark which isn’t too bad. The one I have on in the picture is called “Lychee”.

DSC_0106

The last thing I got from Superdrug  was this Herbal Essences “bee strong” masque (I see what you did there). As you can probably guess, it smells like honey. It is super creamy and I just wanted a good hair masque really. It did help that it was on offer for £1.50.

DSC_0095

I don’t think it is possible to simply walk past Hotel Chocolat. Their chocolate is seriously the best. I picked up one of these for Emily and one for my Dad for being a good sport and coming shopping. They are £2 each which isn’t really that bad, just don’t look at the prices of the other things they sell.

Then, we went to The Body Shop, you can see where this is going.

DSC_0110

Just as we were walking towards the door a woman caught are attention at the word “sale”. I have super bad skin on my hands so any hand lotion is lovingly welcomed. These were £3.50 for two so I picked up the Shea one for my Mum, well, because that’s the one she wanted and then got the Strawberry one for myself because it smells like calpol. I was so hooked on that stuff as a child. It could cure anything.

DSC_0109

THEN we noticed a 3 for 2 sign. Oh dear. I have been searching for a good dark red for a while and “crazy sexy crimson” caught my eye. I wasn’t sure if it was dark enough for what I wanted but one of the lovely ladies who worked there was wearing it with their “mahogany” pencil and she looked like a beautiful vampire, and because I wanted to look like one too, I got both. I then got my Mum the “the right mauves” lipstick because she has no lipstick that she really loves and she refuses to buy things for herself.

DSC_0111

I was so close to the till when I heard my Mum shout “Chloe! They have a foundation shade pale enough for YOU!” (I know it doesn’t look that pale in the picture but just go with it). I immediately ran over to look for myself and there it was. Just begging for me to buy it…so I did. I have this on today and words cannot describe. A pale foundation that isn’t pink. I am in love. This one is in shade “02”, I’m not sure if there is an “01” but it wasn’t in the shop when I was there. I am very impressed with this foundation as it just looks like skin however it does gather a little around my eczema, but then again, what foundation doesn’t? No seriously, I’d love to know. It is a medium coverage but definitely buildable. For £13 I am a very happy bunny.

And the last stop, lush. I blame V for this. After reading her lush haul I just had to go.

DSC_0097

I was going to show you them individually but I can’t open one of them as its a present and I can’t figure out how to open the others without ripping them. Apologies.

I firstly picked up “pop in the bath” for Emily. It is such a cute bubble bar with a little flower on the top. Her and my brother have just moved house so I figured this would be perfect for that little bit of “me time”. Also, who doesn’t like lush?

Then I just rapidly picked three more things up without even realising. The first was “butterball”, I have heard so many amazing things about this so I bought this as my skin needs some summer lovin’. It smells so creamy and lovely, I just can’t wait to use it. Next is one I just bought for the name, “granny takes a dip”- what? It is super colourful though which is mega cool. Lastly I picked up the “you’ve been mangoed” bath melt because I can only imagine how nice this will make my skin feel. Everything from lush smells amazing but I am awful at describing scents so I suppose you are just going to have to go in there and smell them yourself! 😉

DSC_0105

As I got to the till the really nice, and intimidatingly attractive, cashier asked if I would like to donate £2 to charity and get 2 charity pots and a free bath bomb- erm, yes!! These smell like perfume, I say “these” but I have only managed to open one, I’M WEAK. He chose the “sex bomb” bath ballistic for me- coincidence? I think not.

Done and dusted! I hope you enjoyed my haul and it made you want to go shop. If you have any of the above, let me know what you think! Right, I’m off to cower in the corner like a dog that’t just been told off and cry at the damage to my bank account. Okay, maybe I’m being a little unrealistic, I’m actually going to do the ice bucket challenge…again (I knew I shouldn’t have nominated my brother). If you haven’t done it, this is me nominating you- GO DO IT! Good bye for now little buns!

Avon Clear Skin Pore Penetrating Black Mineral Mask (that’s a bloody long name)

The other day my Mum bought me this face mask so after spending all day doing nothing I obviously deserved a little pampering session, obviously.
The mask itself is quite creamy and to avoid having black bits of face mask under my nails I put it on with your regular pointed foundation brush. It has salicylic acid in which is great for getting rid/preventing pesky spots but its not drying at all which is great for me! It also didn’t sting at all which is great because I have super sensitive skin so a lot of face masks tend to irritate it, but not this one! It has a nice clean smell which I love and it comes in a 75ml tube which is great and I could probably get another three or four masks out of it! Shall I just add “which is great” in here one more time?

DSC_0218

As you can see it dries grey so that you know when to take it off. I could see darker speckles where the mask had penetrated my pores so Avon aren’t lying when they claim it does that. It was super easy to take off, just using my trusty hands, a flannel and some warm water! After my skin felt firmer, so soft and so super clean! The best part about this mask is the price. £2.50!!! LIKE WHAT?! Big up to Avon for that one.

If you have tried it let me know what you think in the comments and I will speak to you next time (probably tomorrow), goodbye for now little buns!
