Club Tropicana!

(drinks are freeee) Hey guys! I know I lied when I said in my last post that this would be up tomorrow, but it’s me, what did you expect? 😉 Today I have a “Club Tropicana” look for you which you can make wearable or just laugh at me because I had to answer the door three times with blue and purple eyebrows, your choice, really.

DSC_0241

After prepping my skin and whatnot I started by applying Benefits POREfessional primer…which isn’t in this picture. Oops. Then I mixed a small amount of the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation in “010- Light Porcelain” with the L’Oreal Nude Magique Eau De Teint foundation (which is basically water, its cool) in “100- Porcelain” because, believe it or not, I actually tried to tan a bit… It’s not very noticeable. I applied this using a fake beauty blender which is really bad and I should just get the real one, when I have money that is! I then followed that up with Collections Lasting Perfection concealer in “1- Fair” under my eyes with my ring finger.

DSC_0243

For the powdery things on my face I used Bourjois Delice De Poudre bronzer in number “51”, I’m not even going to try and guess what the actual name of the shade is. I applied this with my Real Techniques blush brush in the hollows of my cheeks, on my temples, under my jaw, down the sides of my nose and just under my bottom lip, I dont really know why I do this, it just seems like a good idea. Following that I applied Sleeks blush in “Life’s a Peach” so that I don’t look dead. Then I used some of benefits “High Beam” across my cheekbones, down my nose, on my cupids bow and on my chin.

Moving on to eyes, I applied my Nars Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base and then George’s Satin Soft Khol Pencil in “02- White” all over my lids, on my brow bones, in my inner corners, on my water line and underneath my eyes, blending it in with my finger. To set it and make eyeshadows easier to blend I just used a matt white from the palette I will get onto in a minute buuuut once again I forgot to photograph it, nice one Chloe. Oh by the way, the white makes the colours look brighter, I don’t think I mentioned that.

DSC_0245

To start I used this matt brown colour from the MUA “Heaven and Earth” palette (if you don’t have an MUA palette I would highly recommend getting one, they are £4 for 12 very pigmented eyeshadows, yay!) and blended it above my crease and underneath the white that I had placed under my eyes.

DSC_0246

Then I used this yellow colour from my no name palette (that I have oh so conveniently pointed out there), that I can no longer find anywhere BUT looks remarkably similar to this palette- http://www.bhcosmetics.com/products/120-color-eyeshadow-palette-1st-edition, and placed it in my inner corners and on the first third of my eyes.

DSC_0250

Then I used this neon(ish) pink colour on the middle portion of my eyes and packed that on quite heavily. I didn’t blend it at this point because Im all for the easy life.

DSC_0253

Then I used this really cute blue in the outer corners of my eyes aaaand yeah that’s all I did with that.

DSC_0252

Then I blended the yellow and pink together with this bright orange colour and chose a purple, aka the one you will see in a minute, to blend the pink and blue together. For underneath my eyes I just repeated this process.

DSC_0255

I used this blue and purple for my eyebrows because I thought I was being super swanky, and I really like that blue. And yes, that’s the purple I was talking about like 2 seconds ago. Okay, maybe not two seconds, I can’t type THAT fast. “THAT”…okay wait I can type “THAT” pretty fast. You can stop reading if you are done with my jokes, I don’t blame you.

DSC_0256

Okay so then I put this super bright green in my pretend crease because I have hooded eyes (sob). Oh and by the way, this whole time I used the same regular eyeshadow brush and just wet it and wiped it every time, I find brighter colours work better with a damp brush. See, if you would have left before, you wouldn’t know that now, would you?

DSC_0257

We’re nearly done, I promise. I lined my eyes very thinly with Maybellines Lasting Drama gel eyeliner in “01- Black” using an angled brush that I got free with a W7 “brow kit” that I bought and gave away ages ago, but the brush is really handy.

DSC_0258

Next I curled my lashes with these 99p curlers (I’m a big spender, I know) and applied the Miss Sporty Studio Lash mascara in “1- black” and over top Avons Super Shock mascara in “black”. For my bottom lashes I used this Opia Lash Lengthening mascara in “Green” because I thought I wasn’t quite colourful enough.

DSC_0259

Last, but most definitely not least, lips. I already had on some Nivea lip butter (the caramel cream one, so good, so very good) so then I used the Revlon lip butter in “Sweet Tart” and then for some unknown reason went over that with Rimmels Colour Rush ‘long lasting intense colour balm’ (not quite sure what I was meant to call that, there’s a lot of writing on it) in “110- Make Me Blush”. Cute name.

AND WE ARE DONE. WE FINISHED. WE MADE IT THROUGH THIS TOGETHER. This took me longer to write than to actually do the makeup, I get far too sidetracked. And I also write like I speak; cramming far too much into one sentence. So, that’s all for now! If you have any suggestions or anything just leave a comment aaaaand yeah- goodbye for now little buns!

Avon Clear Skin Pore Penetrating Black Mineral Mask (that’s a bloody long name)

The other day my Mum bought me this face mask so after spending all day doing nothing I obviously deserved a little pampering session, obviously.
The mask itself is quite creamy and to avoid having black bits of face mask under my nails I put it on with your regular pointed foundation brush. It has salicylic acid in which is great for getting rid/preventing pesky spots but its not drying at all which is great for me! It also didn’t sting at all which is great because I have super sensitive skin so a lot of face masks tend to irritate it, but not this one! It has a nice clean smell which I love and it comes in a 75ml tube which is great and I could probably get another three or four masks out of it! Shall I just add “which is great” in here one more time?

DSC_0218

As you can see it dries grey so that you know when to take it off. I could see darker speckles where the mask had penetrated my pores so Avon aren’t lying when they claim it does that. It was super easy to take off, just using my trusty hands, a flannel and some warm water! After my skin felt firmer, so soft and so super clean! The best part about this mask is the price. £2.50!!! LIKE WHAT?! Big up to Avon for that one.

If you have tried it let me know what you think in the comments and I will speak to you next time (probably tomorrow), goodbye for now little buns!

“Grunge” summer makeup!

Okay, so as it was my Mums birthday yesterday we’re having a cute lil BBQ today and this is the make up I am sporting! So, let’s get right into it!
DSC_0193
After prepping my skin (to see what I use, go to my last blog post!) I used the simple illuminating radiance cream all over my face and popped on the Miss Sporty kiss sos in “Honey Moon”.
DSC_0195
Then I primed my skin with Benefit’s “porefessional” and used a mix of the yellow and pink concealer under my eyes, applying with my ring finger in a patting motion. All the concealers in this palette (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0084116NW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) are so creamy and so incredibly cheap, would definitely recommend!
DSC_0199
For my face makeup I firstly mixed Rimmels Match Perfection foundation in “010- light porcelain” and L’oreal’s Nude Magique Eau De Teint foundation in “100- porcelain” and gently stippled it across my face using the Real Techniques “Expert Face Brush”. I followed that up with my Collection Lasting Perfection concealer in “1- Fair” under my eyes to conceal my (very) dark circles. To contour I used a light brown colour from the concealer palette (the third one along from the bottom) and again used my foundation brush to stipple that in. For blush I used the Virgin Vie Pop Colour jelly blush in “Quirky Coral”. To highlight my cheekbones and cupids bow I used the shimmery white colour in the concealer palette. Moving on…
DSC_0197
To start I used my Nars Smudge Proof eyeshadow base and then grabbing my UBU No.35 Brush I blended “Limit” from the naked 3 palette into and above the crease and then under my eyes. To deepen it up a bit I added “Nooner” into the crease and the outer corners of my under eyes. Then I put “Darkside” on my lid and blended it upwards slightly. I then added “Blackheart” closer to my lash line and blended it up my lid. To finish I put “Shade” in my inner corners and on my my brow bone. Then I curled my lashed and added Benefit’s “They’re Real!” mascara to top it all off!
DSC_0198
For my brows I used Benefit’s Brow Zings in “Medium”, using the angled brush that comes with it for the gel and then the UBU No.31 brush for the powder. To keep them in place I brushed through Collection’s Colour Lash mascara in “11- Clear”.
DSC_0200
For my lips I put Benefit’s “posie tint” over the top of the lip balm I already had on and then applied Beautilicious “Vanilla Sugar” lip gloss. And we’re done!

Stay tuned for next weeks “Club Tropicana” look, goodbye for now little buns!

My skin care routine!

I love trying out new products however I have kept this exact routine for the past month now and I have noticed a dramatic change in my skin. Before we get into it I will just tell you a little bit about my skin, I have dry, sensitive skin and eczema however I am prone to pimples, especially when I am stressed, which is a lot of the time. I also had very patchy skin, including red cheeks and a very red nose!
DSC_0195

If I am wearing make up I like to start with L’Oreal’s “Micellar water” which completely dissolves my make up and takes it off without irritating my skin or eyes. I then follow that up with, what I believe has been the product that has made the most difference in my skin, Soap and Glory’s “Peaches and Clean” cleansing milk.

DSC_0196

I cannot praise this amazing product enough, it has got rid of the mila under my eyes, blackheads on my nose and helped a lot with my discolouration. To use it you can just splash your face with water, rub in a pump of the cleansing milk all over your face, and then wash it off! Simple! The only thing I would say is that when I first started using it I did have a few breakouts because of how deeply it was cleaning my pores, but that cleared up within a matter of days. Also if you get it in your eyes it stings like a bitch! It also smells soooo freaking good.

The next product that I use is Simple’s “Soothing facial Toner” which I have repurchased for the third time now. It is so gentle on my skin and soaks in very quickly, I never really notice a massive difference with toners but since I have started using this again my face feels so smooth!

To prevent any pimples I then spray my face twice with the Lush “Tea tree water” …kind of. This product is kinda pricey for what it is so when I ran out of it I bought some tee trea oil and used tap water to create my own! It works just the same so I am over the moon! I also spray this all over my pillows and my teddy (anything I am likely to have my face on really… and yes, I sleep with a teddy).

After this (wow I really do go on, don’t I?) I spray my face three times, as the nozzle is kinda narrow, with The Body Shop’s “Vitamin C Energizing Face Spritz”. This smells absolutely divine. If I am completely honest I am not sure what its meant to do to my skin but it makes me feel awake and it smells good so I like to use it.

To finish off I like to use Aveeno’s “Moisturising Creamy Oil” which is brilliant for my dry skin and eczema and smells really good too. Can you tell I am sold my the smell of something?

BONUS ROUND. Wait, what? I don’t know. But anyway, in the morning, or whenever I put my make up on, I use this baby.

DSC_0199

Simple’s “Illuminating Radiance Cream”. It has the tiniest flecks of glitter in which are so subtle (not like a disco ball, don’t worry) and when you put your make up on you look naturally dewy and healthy which is a personal favourite look of mine. Okay so I will stop rambling now and let you get on with your day. Here’s a picture of my nakey skin so you know I’m not just lying.

Thats all for now! Goodbye little buns!
